Harry Carmean, Lustful Painter and Sculptor

Harry Carmean (born August 5, 1922, in Anthony, Kansas) is an American painter known for his figurative paintings based on the work of the old masters. He was an instructor at Art Center College of Design  in Los Angeles from 1952 through 1996 and has taught thousands of students.

Alex Varenne, Group Sex Positions

Alex Varenne (born 29 August 1939 in Saint-Germain-au-Mont-d'Or) is a cartoonist and author of erotic comics. After studying at Lyon, he became a teacher of fine arts. With his brother Daniel Varenne, in 1979 he created the series Ardour, the name of his hero, he publishes monthly in Charlie. In 1985, he published a screenplay by his brother Daniel Varenne Affair Landscape. Meanwhile, he published in The Echo savannas and devoted much eroticism, with Black Square on White Ladies (1984), the three volumes of the series Erma Jaguar (1988-1992), Melee (1987), Tears of sex (1989), Love Fools (1991) and Opera portfolios Erotic (1986) Erotic Fragments (1993), or The Taste of Women (2002). Most are published by Albin Michel. It publishes graphic novels Casterman more ambitious but still sensual: Anxiety and Anger (1988, screenplay by Daniel Varenne from the novel in March) and Gully Traver (1993). In 2002, he illustrated The 12 Signs of Love Brigitte Lahaie editions Geisha, where he published other stories cheats and Juliet in 1999 and Yumi in 2000.

Georg Emanuel Opitz, Erotic Biedermeier Watercolours

Georg Emanuel Opitz (Czech, born in Prague, lived in Germany, 1775-1841)
Opitz was born in Prague (Pseudonym Bohemus). He was a pupil to Francesco Guiseppi Casanova -  Italian battle painter and a younger brother of Giacomo Casanova. His brother Philipp (Filip) Maximilian Opiz was an eminent forester and botanist. Georg Emanuel travelled extensively throughout Europe and finally settled in Leipzig in 1820. He was a skilled miniaturist, watercolourist and engraver and in his early years concentrated his talents on the lucrative practie of portraiture. Through his travels he then encountered many varied subjects and began to diversify into military and genre scenes.

The following works all date from around 1830 when Opitz was living in Leipzig and follow in the tradition of drawings that were being produced by Thomas Rowlandson in the first quarter of the nineteenth century and the erotic Japanese woodblock prints from the late eighteenth century by artists such as Utamoro.

All the watecolors are abou 22 x 17 cm.
