Raoul Serres, alias Schem (French / 1881-1971)
The printmaker and illustrator Raoul Serres used the pseudonym Schem for clandestine publications, such as the edition of the Marquis de Sade’s Justine.
Raoul Serres was born in Cazères-sur-Garonne, and was taught by Jacquet, Debouchet, and Lèon Bonnat. Serres was a member of the Société des Artistes Français from 1906, exhibiting at the Society's annual Salon until 1946. Raoul Serres won the Prix de Rome in 1906.
I'm a little suspicious about "Schem" name about this work. The eyes of the women are the same but the drawings are some kind weaks.
